On a side note, I just got my AKG k26p's....

WOW!!! Amazing headphones for 45 shipped off Amazon...I think I like them more than the HD280s i heard before...good sound insolation and great bass...and a 2 year warranty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif They did need a little bit of EQing to get flat, but luckily my MP3 player has a fairly flexible EQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They are pretty tiny for closed back cans and fold up to a neat little package (comes with a carrying case), the bass seriously rivals that of much larger cans...

I have the AKG studio ones, forget model as I gave them to my dad one year being he is a drummer, but he uses them primarly for gaming. (I KNOW,right!) Spent 200 sum smacks on them and were supposed to be the best of the best. I put my Koss headphones into his computer and my dad ordered a pair of them, lol! He paid 20 smacks for them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Least those AKG were loseless sound, so he can still use them for his drumming, lol!

The Koss porta pros are awesome, but they are open air which I don't like...if they were closed back I would be all over them as they are renowned as being one of the best sounding headphones under 100 dollars. The grados S60s (I think?) were also up there, but again, open air //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
I did a lot of research, and i couldn't really find anything that compared for under 50 bucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

So far I really like open air. It was the main thing that almost prevented me from buying the 555's, but so far I can listen to them in our library and the noisefloor is high enough that I can hear what I'm watching and not really disturb others.

I also haven't ran into too much sound coming in yet either. But I'm also always using them with my laptop, therefore I'm usually inside in a fairly quiet place.

If I was wanting privacy and noise isolation I'd buy a good pair of IEMs.

The inner part of my ear and ear canals are REALLY small, so almost everything is uncomfortable for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Most ear canal headphones are uncomfortable until you play with the different size foam pieces and get used to them. I love em because others don't hear what you're listening too, you can put the volume lower because of the isolation, and the clarity is awesome.

I have the old shure e2c's and they're pretty good. Little pricey when I bought them a year ago ($100). Kind of lacking in low end bass but clarity is very good.

Glad you like the cans. You are making me miss my 580s... Which are in Celina... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
