Bought a 13W3v3 yesterday (pics)

Went to my local shop a few weeks ago and saw this beauty sitting there, decided I'd buy one. So I saved up, built a sealed box to spec (1.5^3) and bought it last night. It's running on 450WRMS from a Hifonics 1206D.

Only thing I'm not completely happy with is part of the edge chipped on the bottom where the rabbit meets the edge.

Other than that, it OWNS my old setup (2 12" type r's). It sound to me like it's getting just as loud, but the SQ is amazing. And not to mention the added trunk space.

**** fine sub right there. I was going to go 2 12" JL w3v3 but once i saw the price my jaw dropped, lol, so i went with 2 type r's which are nice but i want something that hits a little bit harder, i think i might save up buy another amp and 2 12" type x's. But you made an awesome choice with that sub, friend of mine has 2 sealed and the sq is outstanding.

You should turn your box around to face your trunk.

Youll most likely gain a lot of lower end extension and should be louder.

This has been my experience with all different types of setups in a sedan.

Yeah I've tried that, the trunk rattle's a killer with this car though. Turning it forward with the seat down really shuts it up.

And before you ask, yes I've dampened the trunk lid, etc.

The Type Xs might sound better but most likely they arent going to be any louder, not to mention they are power hungry.

Id do something else if i was you.
