both amps going into protect at same time

so my kx2500.1 and kx850.4 have been acting up lately. When i turn the volume up on my hu they play for a bit but then they cut out and go into protect at the very same time, before it was just the 850 that would cut out and the 2500 would keep rockin, i just recently reset the gains to where they oughtta be with a dmm, my bass boost is off on both and my voltage seems to be fine,checked the ground also, 260amp alt and 2 yellow tops. They were both workin fine a couple weeks ago but now its constant, they sometimes even cut out at moderate volume. What else could be the problem?

couple more details, i went out there today with my dmm to see what was goin on,first i checked the impedences, everything was good, 1.7ohms to the 2500 and 4.1 to the 850. Then i checked the voltages, the batterys were sittin at 12.5 with the truck off, back at the amplifiers they too were at 12.5. with the hu off the remote turn on read 0. Now when i turn the hu on, the voltage at the amplifiers plunge to 1.1 and the remote went to 12.5 but the batteries up front are still at 12.5. When i shut the hu off the voltage at the amps started creeping back up to 12.5 verrrrry slowly. The amps never turned on at all during this whole test mind you. I have no idea what the problem is. Does anyone have a clue?

u have a distro of fuse block? check the power wire before the distro see if there is power at that point with h/u on

what do the batts sit at with vehicle idling?

maybe the bass was causing the ground bolt to loosen?

ground is good, the distro block reads 1.1 too when the hu is on ill check further down the wire to see what it reads there, i doubt theres anything wrong w the batteries there fairly new yellowtops. batts sit at 14.6 w truck idling

how do u have the amps/ batts wired check all connections from beginning to end with dmm to see where the power is fainting out at also when testing the power use the ground points for ground not negative terminal to see if grounds are bad

i had a 1 month old d31 ytop shit on me just cause they are new to u doesnt mean they werent on the shelf for a year

found the problem, the connection at the battery terminal was loose and now everythings good, thanks guys
