really? cause i would say go the other way around... the z6s can take 400 watts RMS per side.

yeah i was leaning towards the boston side because the price i was getting the focals cost more but the bostons handle more power. any more suggestions?

i heard those Z6 components, i was not impressed at all. they were running off a 150x2 amp, and it definately sounded underpowered, no midbass at all. threw on a 400x2 amp, and they definately got louder, more pronounced midbass, but it still did not sound good, i prefered my HEX's over them.

this was in an avalanche, and the customer didnt like the Z6's either, so he ordered the utopias, sounded wonderful, total opposite of the Z6 and you dont need some ridiculously huge amp to run them. i prefer the boston pros over the Z6.

Just to give you a heads up JL audio is about to introduce the ZR some time here soon.

I would also check out the Koda 6 component set and/or check out the XXX 6.5 component coming out soon as well. DIY is a cost effective way to build some really nice setups.

honestly the focal utpoia's dont sound as a\good as their lower line poly kevs, but thats just on mand opinon.

I would choose the Boston Z6's over the Utopia's. I do like the Utopia's midbass better, but I like Boston's tweeter better.
