I am running a set of Boston Acoustics entry level comps right now off of hu power. It looks like i'll be getting an amp from a trade that I will use to power them. I was going to go with a 2 channel, but I found a 4 channel that I'm going to take a chance on. It's a Denon 4 channel rated at 50x4 at 4ohms. This leaves me with two options. Option one is to bridge the channels and send 100watts to each side, passive. Option two is to experiment with my first active setup and ditch the passive crossovers. I have an 880 so I'm considering trying to unleash more of it's potential. I know I don't have the best equipment, but I'm curious what you all think would optimize the performance of what I have. Do you think I have enought power to go active? Boston rates the rms at 55watts.
