Boston Pro60 vs. Polk SR6500?

DEI JUST bought Polk, so they have virtually no impact whatosever on the current products. Just because a brand is under DEI doesn't mean their products instantly become shit.

I'd say the Polks, because I love soft dome tweets. If you prefer brighter tweeters, get the Pros. Both are excellent sets, I'd decide based on tweeter preference.

True. It takes a little while. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

the pros arent super bright to me. the mid/tweet/crossover is a perfect matchup thanks to boston. one of the smoothest sounding speakers i have ever heard. the tweeter and mid match up seamlessly.

You all would be hardpressed to find out that the Pro's tweeters are quite smooth for being of the metallic kind, being linear helps a lot. The Z's are a whole different world, the smoothest and softest metallic tweets I've heard, if there is such a thing...

As stated, Polks are smooth. But to me, Pro's midbass wins, and the tweets, and the build, and all the installation hardware that comes with it, and the clarity at high volumes.

SPZ's have arrived.

I listened to the Pro 60's and the Polk SR's before buying the Rainbow Germaniums. Both the pros and polks were running off a JL 300/2. I like both but the Polks are in a different league in smoothness and clarity. If money was not a constraint I would have them now. Although my germs sound amazing with only 70 watts/ch. For the money they are hard to beat
