Boston OVAL sub update ....

Thanks for your opinion....I'm trying to find a sub that will do each equal well in both sound quality and getting loud when I want it to but sound excellent doing it. I'm considering the DD 9512, SI Mag 12 D2 and Diamond Audio D9 12 and it looks like I may have to add this to the list. So this are already at the stores I would love to hear one in person and how much will you let one go for since you are a authorized dealer??

Yeah .... I'd love to sell you one , but internet sales are not allowed on Boston products. I highly reccomend you buy from an authorized dealer , where you will get a warranty. you should definitely hear one though .... They are fabulous.

While the Boston Acoustics SPG subwoofer is very nice, the DD9512 would still outdue it in both SQ and SPL. But thats just my opinion, and I'm just a n00b.

Jntar's SI mag was REALLY nice though, considering on how small the box was. To this day I am still very impressed with it.

How loud is loud, have you had it metered yet? Also are you saying it's going to take 1000-2000WRMS for this thing to get loud?

Not sure about Blue, but we didn't have any plans on metering the Audi. The owner listens to lots of jazz and smooth rock so I didn't think it would be necessary. Well Golly Gee Wally .... I had no trouble with MY jig-saw ..... Sounds like a lot more trouble than I would want to go through. I know that a jig can be made for routing a hole, but unless I was going to be installing a lot of them, it's hardly worth the trouble, IMO. I assume that they had a reason to go with an oval but if the technology is so great wouldn't it have been easier and more user friendly to just stick with a round sub and keep all the other "cool" design bits?

I guess if someone wanted to, they could start producing and selling router templates to make the cutouts for these things...

OK .... ANybody want these extra two that I have ? I just spoke with Boston Acoustics about it , and explained I made a mistake , and that three of them is waaay more than I need in my car. I tried to get them to buy them back , but was told can't do ..... I also can't sell them in the store because they were bought on accomodation ..... They were kind enough to give me permission to sell these on the side given the circumstances ......
