Boston or Pioneer

I have had an Alpine/Boston setup in my truck since 1998 Boston's are awesome sounding speakers. are rx series 5x7 coaxials and a 10" competitor sub. Neither of these is Bostons top of the line. Not bragging but they sounded better than anybody elses. I didn't have a huge mega amp (5 channel alpine) so I couldn't compete for loudness, but nobody ever beat that system for sound quality. Boston's are not cheap but you get what you pay for. When i bought this system i listened to pioneer, sony rockford, Mtx, and alpine speakers back to back. nothing sounded anywhere near as good as the Bostons.

I've used both and they're both good. I'd say try to take a listen to both and make your decision from there. For rearfill, they're both overkill. Personally, I'd keep stock and spend more on something else. But if you need the rearfill, both are good choices.
