Question on Conversion 5x7 to 6.5 and what do you guys think about cdt audio?

Yes how do you convert a 5x7 hole to a 6.5" hole. I was wondering how much cutting is required.

There's a good write up on how to make baffles so you can fit 6.5's in a 5x7 opening.

Those CDT's are pretty sweet. Smooth tweets, not harsh at all.

Watch your power with the CL's since the crossover is the lower end and they don't handle as much power as the 480 or above. Also make sure its the 1in tweeter and not the 3/4in. big difference in sound.

im using the same Cdt comps but with the upgraded tweeters and they sound great!!.

I have a Mazda with stock 5x7 holes, I made a baffle and mounted 6.5s in it, very easy to do, and definately worth it.

5x7's ****, there are a lot more options when buying 6.5s

and oh yea, you won't be running 5x7s
