Boston is going to be going to Circuit City!!

Hell the local radio shack here carries Boston. I had to take a double take at first beacuse I thought they had to be a cheap off brand. But they weren't.

WTF? Boston goin to CC....great. first eclipse now boston...anyways, its only gonna be their lowel level gear. Have you seen eclipse titanium woofers at CC? nope, it will cost too much and the avg consumer is either 1. new to car audio 2. doesnt know much, except brands 3. is not wanting to invest into a $1,000+ system. So if they see some boston subs or whatnot priced a bit above some Kicker subs or possibly same price, it will give them somethin to think about and Boston will be able to attract the "beginners". If they do go into car audio since it has not been specified if its home or car audio, im curious as to which amps they will carry, cos those amps are quite **** expensive. And i highly doubt they would carry the Z series speakers and even the Pros. Eh, I guess boston just wants to increase their net income.

The long and short of it is the Harman group (Jbl, Infinity and H/K) are withdrawing from CC to be replaced by the D&M holding brands (Denon, Boston).

Well I didn't hear it was coming for mobile, but there is speculation. It is definite that it'll be coming for home audio. For mobile, they are trying to see what brand they can drop in order to pick up Boston. It's all still under corporate review.

I can't see anything but Boston's lower end there. The average consumer will not be interested in the high end stuff. It is just to expensive for CC to sell in any kind of mass quanity.

As an installer for Circuit City, I can tell you that the only Boston we are getting is the Home Audio for now. Just because a company decides to take their line to a CC in no way means that their product is going down the tube. I agree, I used to feel the same way back in the day, but CC has actually pulled theirself off the bottom rung of the ladder as far as stereo shops are concerned.

We also sell $1,000+ systems on a daily basis dude..actually most of them are around $1,700+. At least my shop does, hell we're one of the only CC's to build custom boxes, do fiberglass door panels, boxes, rear decks, dashes, etc.

mannnnn. Glad I just got a job at best buy....wasnt even thinking CC...even though id much rather be there. They do more installs, and they dont sell Dual and Insignia, and all low line products...ALLLLLLL of them... really dont do any custom work. I know most CC's do.....CC's product line just kills BB.

A few other CC's do it, but for the most part they try and stay away from it.

Unfortunatly for CC product lines dont always equate to dollars. If it did they wouldnt be falling under BBy year ever

Last time I checked....CC was stomping a mudhole in BB. BB's own hometown newspaper had a front page story about how CC is kickin the crap out of them for a while now.
