bondo advice

i have done a few fiberglass projects before, but now i am making 2 custom amp racks to put in my civic. i have all the fiberglassing done and am on bondo. whats the best way to do the bondo? i have put a layer on, sanded parts of it down to make it even, and then put another layer on, and thats where i am now. any advice?

if your painting it, just keep going up in sand paper grits until its smooth as possible and fill in any holes with more bondo

When you first put the bondo on. Wait for it to turn rubbery, then knock off all the rough edges before it completely hardens. Use the filler sparingly, it's fairly weak by itself.
