Bobybuilders: Come hither

i mean i understand what you mean by hard-gainer, but ive never seen anything like that. thats ridiculous.
My chest it truly the most absurdly slow part of my development. It gets stronger but never much bigger. I used to measure it, but gave up when the weights went up and the tape never changed. When I had added 50 lb. to my bench and less than an inch to my chest, I quit tracking it.

My biceps are not much better. I hammer curl the 50s for sets of 10 and still have pitiful biceps size.

Like I said- I just don't gain size- hence my jealousy of someone with a large frame.

I once got my shoulders in absurd shape- seated DB presses with 80s, 90s, 100s, arnold presses with 65s and 70s, front raises (palms IN) for 3 sets of 10 w/ 50s, lateral raises with 35s and 40s, palms-up front raises with 50s, and shrugs with 120 lb. DBs. I found that my entire shoulder girdle just ached all of the time. My frame is just not built to carry a lot of weight, and it takes its good old time adding it.

I just last week moved back to the 90s for incline DBs. I had avoided DBs for a few months but got back into them 2 weeks ago for my incline work. 90s are fun. 4 sets of 5. The hard part is getting them into position whehn inclining.
exactly..

i just came home from work out.. i finally broke 200 in my flat bench and 300 in my dead lift... not much but it feels good

Shit ppl Whey protein and Creatine monohydrate and call it a day.
anyone heard of bill stars 5x5? im just started it on monday
Yeah..It worked for me..Increased my bench max by 15 pounds in 10 weeks after I thought I had hit a plateau.

And I hadn't squated in over a year..10 weeks of the 5x5 sent my max SOARING.

Definitely worth doing!

5x5 isen't bad for a good strength/size mix. I would never go below 5 reps unless I was a competive Powerlifter.

A 5x5 routine is just that... 5 sets of 5 reps, usually keeping the same weight throughout and failing towards the 5th rep on each set.
Well you are familiar with Bill Starrs 5x5 thats is all over weight training forums correct?

You dont keep the same weight in this 5x5 you Ramp your weight. lets say something along these lines

135x5 155x5 175x5 195x5 210x5 next week you would add 2.5% more to your 5 max rep

Yea, that is another way to do it. That way is more strength oriented.
