I've decided it's time I showoff what I got and some things that I had. It's gettin kind of boring around here, know what I be sayin ngas? I'll try and post a pic or two errday, nearly all of the stuff I own is old school and mostly rare or unique. I'll include gut pics of every amp I post as well...

I don't want to post it all in one night though, where's the fun in that? I've got enough equipment to last a couple weeks or more here...I may even resort to home audio pics after I exhaust all the car audio gear.

Sorry to ruin the game you started CRX, but you post to few pics in too long a time period. A nga needs to keep it fresh and time it right, nah mean homie?

Here's a few subs I had lying around...

One of these guys I still have, the other I blew very quickly and gave away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Threw like 50 watts at it, and the glue separated from the surround and spider simultaneously lol. It was fuckin hilarious. They are actually two different subs if you look closely, at least as far as the dust caps/stickers go.

Attached pics are there in case Photofucket decides to pull its typical bullshit and delete the images //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rage.gif.0ad8a6e5565b5fddce406566fdd05149.gif

One of my friends had the 8" Thump 'subs' with the White frames and purple logo, iirc. Those were the days! Bumpin with a 80-watt Jensen blue amp that was about 6" with 1" fins all around. Like these:

Always wanted to try out one of those oldschool Orion NT's how you like them?
Well they are beautiful for sure. Very well built, hefty motor. They have very limited excursion though, and a small surround as you can tell. It's almost as good sounding as my Boston G5 & GTR combo, but it gets louder and goes lower. Overall, a very good driver.

Here's a little cutie that I just traded to Shinju. I already miss this amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif It was a VERY nice amp. Very well built, clean sounding, and understated in appearance. Shinju, I will buy this back from you someday...

One interesting thing about this was the screws they used for the terminals...Allen heads for he Power/Ground/Remote, philips for the others...

I get a hard on everytime I do so much as think about those gold finned heatsinks on the transistors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif When's the last time you saw that on a "Walmart brand" amp?

Most of the people on this forum (including me) have no idea what a lot of that stuff is, it would be cool if you could post any info you know about it too, educate us young folk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Of course!

I guess I'll start from the top...

Subs in picture:

Orion NT 12" - Carbon Fibre dust cap and cone. An SQL driver with a tendency towards SQ and it likes the lows. It's rated at 500wrms or 1k, not sure which.

MMats Pro Series 12" - These were the precursors to the Px.x series MMats subs (P2.0, 2.5, 3.0). They are some super good SQL subs, like the NT they point more towards SQ. Very subtle looking and classy subs.

Earthquake DBX-10 - I believe these are TC made, but I am not 100% sure. Looks like a TC9 motor to me. I am in love with the red cone/basket combo, it's absolutely sexy! The motor force is commendable on these, and they sound very nice as well. Running free-air, it felt like they were gunna jump up and fly away!

Atomic Apocalypse X (APX-18) - This is a competition sub if you couldn't already tell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif An extremely strong motor and durable soft parts allow this beast to take over 20,000 burps! There is a video somewhere of someone hooking one up to a wall socket in parallel (25k watts rms), and he burped it 4 or 5 times. Afterwards, he pulled it apart, and there was no discoloration of the coil o_O Quite impressive. It's also super efficient at around 94db, and I can attest to that.

The Thump speaks for itself lol. They were sold in Radioshack back in the day for like $20 a pop haha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I think they are a very good competitor to teh Pups, which is why I can't get rid of it!

Read the description on the post with the Fusion if you want to get an idea of what it's like.

The Pioneer is nothing special, and the Optimus is just as bad as the Thump but it doesn't look as ghey which is why I got rid of it lol.

A few o/s sq cuties here...Alphasonik MA-2025 and Hifonics Thor VIII (both Zed made), and a Sony XM-3021 (good Sony). The Thor is currently in Geoff's possession //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
