Boat amp install

Hello, i was looking for a little help installing some subs in my boat, I have purchased two Clarion 8' 4 ohm single coil marine subs power rated 100-200wrms each, and a cadence 400 watt 2 channel marine amp:

RMS Power Output: ◦4 Ohm : 60W x 2 channels

◦2 Ohm : 100W x 2 channels

◦4 Ohm Bridged : 200W x 1 channel

•PEAK Power: ◦4 Ohm Bridged : 400W x 1 channel

I am kind of confused on how to wire these subs, should i run each on it's own channel to have them both at 4 ohms, or do i run them parallel at 2 ohm load or in series at 8 ohm load? or is this not the correct type of amp to be running these subs on. I put the subs on each side of the boat so running them in series will require more wiring since they are about 10 feet of wire apart, but can be done.

thanks for your input

^^^agree, the mono amp will be more efficient I would assume as well, unless that 2 ch. is class D. It isnt marine rated but we use a simple Alpine M500 in the boat and just tucked it underneath the steering, its small and out of the way and works great.

Also be sure when you run power wire, you run the ground all the way back to the battery
