Bmw?

I am about to get a BMW and I was wondering if I should do anything to it audio wise. I plan on getting one with the Harmon Kardon speakers. Would you get another set of after market speakers or cd player. And should I get a sub for it. If so what kind? I plan on getting a 330Ci. Suggestions are appreciated.

I have properly setup components up front.....AND components in the rear which are amped as well.

id say stick with the Harmon Kardon ... stay with factory/stock... considering your gettin a brand new beamer and all... but thats my opinion

The Harmon Kardon sucks. Once you hear a proper system with all speakers amped and a nice sub, you will want to throw that BMW garbage away, or throw it on ebay to make some money back.

I have components up front and coaxials in rear, all amped, and the rear speakers take care of the rear fill. The car would sound retarded without them.

Even the best OEM system could not compare to a decent aftermarket setup. People buy Ferraris for $120k, and then pull out the stock stereo to replace it. Just goes to show.

How do the fi subs compare to the w7's? I had a 12 in the HO box and it sounded pretty good.

The HK stuff is crap as is any system with rear speakers. Both are a waste of money.

HK does **** in the BMW. Save that money and put it towards your aftermarket speakers. I agree with not using rear speakers in a BMW, only because the trunks eat any kind of bass and you can use the rear speaker location to get sound into the cabin. Any other vehicle I would use them as rear feel. Use the factory headunit as a base and intergate everything else for a stock appearance.

IF it helps at all, I am probably going to get a LOC for my wifes 528i and run a Sundown 100.2 and my RL-i 8.
