Hey audio guys,

I have a BMW E36 2dr that is in dire need of a system upgrade! I want something that is clean, loud and punchy but that doesn't weight too much or take up much or any trunk space. Most of my music is rock, pop and country, not a lot of heavy rap I have already purchased a Nak CD400, Audison SRX4 and a set of Adire Koda 6.5" 2ways but I have another $1000 or so to spend to finish it off!

Can you guys help me put together the rest of the system to meet my goals?

-What free-air sub(s) can I use? I might be able to get some JL Stealthboxes which are light and don't take up any space. If I can't get the JLs I will need another option!

-Is my Audison SRX4 powerful enough to drive the front set and the JLs or do I need a new amp?

-Are the Adire 2ways a good set or should I upgrade to some DLS, Focal or other $$$ 2ways?

Thanks for your time!

Hmm, there's not much I can contribute unfortunately, since my tastes go a different route than yours. 2 possibilities I would suggest tho, possibly a larger mid (6.5's, sorry, i forgot to look what size you had) or possibly look into a 3 way setup. I noticed a large decrease in mids when I lost the third speaker. Either one is a viable possibility. I have heard plenty of good things about the adires, you may have been able to find better for the same money (Ascendant makes some nice mids I hear) but thats really water under the bridge unless you feel like switching up your entire setup. I would STRONGLY suggest sound deadening the back of the kick panel where the mid is at (the floor level one) it made a world of difference for my speakers. Your best bet for subs is either to scrap the rear deck speakers, and maybe go with some 8's or possibly even the ED 700's (hopefully other people will be able to help you further on those) or make a baffle board for the open area behind the rear seat. Good luck with it, and for the love of god, try not to run anything down the center of the car, boy is that a pain in the ***! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
