bluetooth slow connection. iphone screams music before the head unit plays

Hello all. For a while now i have been having an issue with bluetooth connection. Using iphone 13 and kenwood excelon ddx 535 i think. So what happens is the music on the phone starts playing a couple seconds before the head unit starts playing, so for a couple seconds the iphone is litterally blasting at full volume, then the head unit takes over and all is well. Anybody know how to adjust this out? I know there are bluetooth settings in the ddx settings, but there s no explanation as to what they do.
