Hi,
I want to buy a new HU with Bluetooth for cell phone calls/handsfree.
Buying the unit in the US for use in europe.
I basically want to know which one of these HU's I'm looking into will have the best phone integration and sound:
1) JVC KD-AVX33 (430$ shipped)
2) Sony MEX-BT5000 (260$ shipped)
3) Alpine CDA-9885 (240$ shipped) /w KCA-100BT Bluetooth module (160$ shipped)
I had the JVC KD-AVX2 for a while and I liked it a lot, most annoying thing about it is that the panel is a fingerprint MAGNET and the menu feels like it was designed by engineers for engineers. The integrated DVD is great and it has worldwide radio. So does the AVX33. Anyone has this unit and uses the Bluetooth?
I didn't like the sound settings on the JVC. the EQ7 on my current Sony HU is much better and quicker to set (2 rotating clickable knobs).
Can the BT5000 or 9885 receive European radio bands? My current Sony can't.
I really don't think I will spend 400$ on a "average" Alpine HU, but I'm interested in what you have to say about these.
The BT5000 is a kind of a bargain considering the integrated bluetooth, if I decide to give up on the DVD.
Thanks,
Tomer.
