The new ultimate subs. If you ever get a chance to hear one, you will know why. If you are thinking about getting a 12 inch sub, wait a few more months and get the 12 inch 02 series Blueprint sub. It is a mammoth SQ, low-end, SPL sub. Compareable subs in it's catagory would be 13w7, 15 JBL GTi, IDMAX 12, and other like thoose. Best thing about it, they don't have any retail stores, or advertiseing, or any middle-man to deal with, so the 12 inch 02 series sub is offered at $119+shipping.

I have e-mailed their VP and am in the process of ordering 3 or 4 of them.

Line drivers
The preamp input on most amps is 10-20k ohms, so you don't really lose voltage. I've run plenty of systems off 2v preamps with no problems.
