where can i get this part at?

bump... the broken FET reads

230

1rf640 with a bigger F above the numbers

Would the amp smoke and smell bad if this just came disconnected?

The FET really stinks but the amp no longer does.

You need to have some basic soldering skills, a good iron, and a solder removal tool -- I usually use a "solder sucker" and solder wick for the stubborn solder pads.

I'd ship you 20 of them for 10 bucks as I have alot of them... but make sure they are all 640s before we go any farther. Chances are half of them are another part number... which I can't recall at this exact moment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

once I took the FET out the smell went away and the FET still kind of smells like it
Sounds like that is your culprit then... FYI, I forgot to mention this... my friend had a V800XD and he had some FETs do the same thing where they shear off at the legs. It was nothing more than the FETs and I have no idea why they do that.
