OK this makes absolutely 0 sense...
According to my DMM ( i set it to AC and played a 250hz test tone) the speakers where getting 8.76v on volume 25 and 12.4v on volume 28... so... if I am not mistaken that is 20watts on volume 25 and 40 watts on volume 28 (they are rated 50rms)
I feel as if I am measuring this wrong...
I got the pioneers in yesterday and I can go up to max volume with no audible distortion on them with the same gain setting... was I really only putting 20wrms to my memphis? There doesnt look to be any damage to the speakers at all but there is no sound coming from the tweeter...
