Subs: 2 rockford fosgate 10" punch 3's 2 ohm---
Amp: rockford fosgate 1000w amp (2ch I think, has ++-- connections)
its a 2ch rockford fosgate p6002 amp, so 600wx2 or 1200wx1
Ok One day my subs just stopped working but I never changed anything.
I noticed the amp was apparently still getting power because the power light would come on and respond to the bass, though none way actually coming out of the subs.
I took the subs out, checked the wires (Wired for a 2ohm load) and the only thing I noticed was one of them had a coil cover flapping off of it partially.
I glued the flap back down and tested each of the subs, one at a time, by themselves.
Each sub, when I connected to one coil, sound would come out. But also, on each of them, one coil, when connected, would not work.
Is that normal? Do both coils or one primary coil, need to be connected first, for the other one to work as well?
I put them back in and still, no sound.
All wiring seems to be fine too.
Help please.
