Blown amp?

Hi all,

I just purchased a '86 944 with what looks to be a decent sound system. I'm by no means an expert!
I'm having an issue where the amp (Precision Response AA058) doesn't seem to power up. Fuse by battery is good, getting 12v at the amp's terminal, 2x 25a fuses inside the amp were ok and it's not turning on.

Is there any way to save this amp? Is it worth getting it fixed? Could someone recommend an equivalent modem amp?

You didn't mention but I'll ask, is it getting remote turn on voltage?

Haha! Thank you! No voltage at the amp, checked the wires at the head unit, no voltage. Unplugged and plugged it in....voltage and all working!

Must have had a little corrosion.

Glad you got it sorted. If it acts up again, at least you have an idea where to look for a problem.
