Blown Amp??? *aq2200d*

Is there any way to PHYSICALLY tell if an amp is blown?? Like you crack it open and look at the inside?? Anything special i should look for?!?! Im RLY RLY mad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif cuz i just got my AQ 2200D like 2-3 weeks ago, and the output of it DRAMATICALLY decreased just the other day. I was riding around with it bumping and then all of a sudden it got A LOT quieter, like so much that i thought i had blown a sub. The sheer output and volume was practically cut in half. I pulled over and checked everything and all my connections were secure and everything. Even checked my subs to see if they were still reading 1 ohm, which they are. I'm just rly baffled as to what could be the problem!!! The amp has been working GREAT ever since i got it a few weeks ago. ANY help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!

look along the sides of the board inside the amp.. and there are little black block lookin things these are called mosfets... if they are burnt lookin or exploded thats bad.. also look around where the pre amp inputs are and see if there are any burnt spots or capacitors that look swoolen...

Um was the amp hot? Was your electrical? I am sure if you did not have your electrical up to par that probably caused the problem.

open up the amp and look for anything that is burnt if you can. Did you smell anything?

Is the output low all the time now, or does it come back to normal after resting?

Always best to call the company first before opening up and messing around with your amp.

try emailing the company im sure your likely to get a reponse

take a little time and re-check all settings. Use a dmm on the output to SEE what voltage you're really getting. If you have a remote gain knob, unplug it to do this testing. Good luck.

I doubt anything is blown.. an amp will either work, or it won't..

It sounds to me like you have a bad RCA cable/connection and one channel is not working..

The amp gets a lil warm, but thats after like 30-45 mins with it full tilt.

Yeah it low all the time now. Its still loud don't get me wrong, but NOWHERE near as loud as it used to be.

Yeah im getting like 13.68ish volts on and like 11ish with the car off. Any ideas?!??
