Blowing speakers.

If you hook, let's say, a 20watt max speaker to a 300watt max amp, this would blow the speaker right? or would this just damage the amp? or would it do a combinaton of the both?

hooking amp to stock? ive done it once with the lpf on and that speaker moved like a sub, the coil kept hitting the bottem and made an annoying noise, but after say after an hour that speaker was toast

It can potentially damage the speaker when you turn the volume up loud enough, but it's unlikely to damage the amplifier.

Depends on the amp. Depends on the speaker. Depends on the install. Depends on the gain settings and source being fed to the amp.

In other words, there's too many variables, but you won't damage the amp, just the speaker potentially.
