Edit, title should say blowin fuses....yah i'm stupid

So i keep blwoing the middle fuse in the line of 3. THe amp is a lanzar vibe 1200d. I don't really know whats going on, all the connections on the amp are good...my ground was always good in teh past but i don't know maybe its not strong enough now...its grounded to the top of my back deck. (thats the place with the most metal in my car lol everything else is like fiberglass/plastic). Any advice??? The fuse only blows when i really turn things up on a song with lots o bass.

Your problem is that the unit is pulling to much current and blowing the fuses. It could be one of two things.

1) The amp has an internal problem that is causing the excessive current pull.

2) The amp is being overdriven to a point of causing the fuses to blow.

Try cutting your gains down and see how it responds. Also, make sure the unit is properly vented.

If you have been using this setup for a while with no problems, then I would think it is an internal amp problem.

Yah today i blew another one and it was on a song with a lot of bass...but not like rap or anyting. Its mounted to the back of my box...i'll try keeping my back seats down and seeing if that helps. Would putting in a higher amp fuse like maybe 40 be a bad idea???? The gain is less than 1/2 but i'll try messin with that too. The thing is i pounded this setup for the first week...all the way up for a long time and never had a problem, now if i turne it up for a few min it pops a fuse...

Update...

I blew another fuse, on even lower volume and it blew out worse than the other ones (much bigger gap between the wires inside the fuse). I also noticed that even on low volume my lights were dimming like crazy...so either my amp is like drawing way more power then it needs to be or my car's elec system is going crazy. Any thoughts?

If the problem is getting worse and the fuse is blowing at lower and lower levels, then I would suspect that your power supply in the amp is going bad. If it is the power supply then the problem probably arised from either a bad part right off the bat or a lack of power given to the amp during use requiring it to work harder. To find out for sure take it to a lanzar dealer or wait for someone with more expierience to reply. I had a problem similiar to yours with an ed NINE.1 and it is a respectable amp. It was under warranty when it happened and they sent me a new one no questions asked but I know the problem was a lack of power availiable to the amp.

It's prolly the power supply then...is that worht fixing on an amp like this (got it for 130...)/is it possible to fix. Thx for the help, imma go play with the gain and see if i can make it work for now...

What caused the lack of power to be availiable to the amp...

was the power wire too small or what?
