So I made 2 of 3 in big3:)

1-alt - battery with stinger 4awg (what fuse do you recommend? A fuse holder is necessary?)

2-block to battery negative?? (electrician told me block to chasis = block to battery negative. is this true:confused:)

Only battery to chasis are remaining.. A unpainted spot in engine bay is adequate I hope //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Thanks..

you need alt+ to battery +, block to battery - or chassis, chassis to battery -.

Idk what they hell you were thinkin, and you might as well get some 1/0 instead of 4 gauge, its worth it if you ever plan on upgrading

i would use the frame rail or the sub frame as a connecting spot instead of just a piece of sheet metal. Then use the same spot on the frame for your battery ground as well.

Or use helotaxi's example

and yes 4 gauge is a huge improvement over the stock wiring

thanks for the inputs:)

so, block to bat negative = block to chasis. We made a block to bat neg run, I dont want to change it if the two are same.

System will be around 1200rms so 1/0 is a bit overkill for me:) What size of anl fuse between alt and bat is enough for me? (stock alt & 4awg stinger) A fuse holder is a must?

For the main fuse use the wire's amperage rating. So 1/0 woudl be 300amp. I don't know 4ga off hadn though.

No. The connections that need to be made are:

1)alt pos to battery pos

2&3) either battery to block and battery to chassis, battery to block and block to chassis or battery to chassis and block ot chassis.

Electrically those 3 options are the same. They amount to a parallel connection of the battery neg, the alt neg (the engine block) and the chassis. All 3 of those options require 2 wires.
