blew speaker in 2002 ***** am

I recently blew the rear seat speaker in my 2002 ***** am. Does anyone know what type of speaker this is? I can't find any paperwork on the sound system. Also, does the factory speaker have to be used, or can I get a different brand speaker? And if so, what should I be looking for? I know nothing at all about how to do this. I'm so bummed the speaker blew.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The spekaers in the sail panel near the passengers head are 6.5" subs. You'd have to buy a factory replacement or find another 6.5 sub. Tang band and kicker make some halfway decent stuff.

I normally wouldn't advise anyone to pay the extra cash for JL equipment, but the 6W3v3-4 6.5" is a nice little sub.

Please bear with me here - I'm sooo not good with the whole speaker/audio talk. Sub is subwoofer, right? 6.5 inch is the size of speaker? Does anyone know the wattage of the factory speaker in the sail panel (this is the back seat, right?). Btw, what's an ohm?

If I go with the speaker at JL Audio, will I get pretty much the same sound as the factory speakers, or better sound maybe? Would I run into problems with the sound sounding not the best if I don't go with factory speakers? I was reading about some people having problems somewhere. I plan on keeping the front factory speakers since they are fine. I just need to put in a new speaker in the rear seat area to replace the blown one.

Of course I'd prefer for the speaker I put in to not blow out again. Which is a concern with the factory speaker.
