here's what happened....I re-wired my subs to run at 4 ohm so i could hook them up in series to make my amp run at 2 ohm power becuz i ohm power was too much for the subs...so today my amp started cuttin on and off so when i checked 1 sub was still working and one was not...took everything out and rewired subs again at 2 ohm and ran them off both channels on the amp and now 1 is playin good and the other is rattling.....any suggestions....

Grab a DMM and measure the coils.

That'll let you know if they are blown or not.

Set the DMM to measure resistance and connect the DMM leads directly to the subwoofer's terminals.

It should read just below the coil's nominal impedance (i.e. if the coil has an impedance of 4ohm, it'll probably read 3.X ohm on the DMM).

Take the above-referenced step first before proceeding any further. Likely that will provide you with all the information you need //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

ok will try that..if it is blown would it be cheaper to just replace the whole speaker itself or to replace the coil....
