I wired my dd 2515 to an m1b, and after a few minutes, that magic smoke was coming from the port. I was playing with the settings on the m1b and then i closed the trunk. When i opened it, i saw a lot of smoke. Coil is black. How much am i looking at to fix this?

yea... you'll hear some popping sounds.....
I thought it was just a new type of bass lol

But yea the coil looks black and theres slight coil rub when i press the center. This *****. Idk if i should recone or just get another used one

Im guessing you are clipping the hell out of it.
Well not anymore, thats for sure.

OP what preout voltage does your HU put out? Me thinks your HU puts out 4v but you set the amp for 2v. Either that or you messed with the bass boost somewhere. Theres a slight chance the amp is busted and was putting out DC voltage but it should have gone into protect if that was the case

Hu is 4v. Bass boost was off ( i believe). And the only thing i recall is messing with the low pass. Ill try to upload some pics of the gain settings i used
