blazer headunit (pics)

im installing alpine 9856 in a 99 blazer and after pulling out the factory radio i see this second wireharness that i dont know what to do with, what is it?

What year is it? In my 94 Sonoma I dont think I needed to use that, I just wired it up using the one plug.

its a 99, so you had one but just didnt use it? because i havent even atached all they wires to test it yet

on my car it had 2 harnesses, 1 for the speaker connections and 1 for the power, ground, etc. did you buy a wiring harness for your alpine yet that fits your vehicle?
