Blazer Head Unit Removal

'98 Blazer - anyone care to quickly run through the removal of the stock head unit?
Much appreciated.

I have a 1997 Bravada......should be roughly the same.

Take the dash trim off- its one continuous piece.....goes to the left of the wheel, covering the switches, over the gauges (two screws in the top of this), and to the right of the wheel, over the radio and climate knobs. There are just those two screws above the gauges, the rest of it pops off.

Open your driver door, you can prop it up there, so you dont have to disconnect all the switches on the left side.

After thats off, just take the hex bolts out- dont forget the four around the climate knobs, you have to remove that so the dash kit (assuming youre putting in an aftermarket deck) lines up right.

If bolt sizes are the same, youll need a 9/32 socket.

Not too hard at all......

Just be careful not to break the plastic trim.

there are 3 screws, takes them out and then just pop it off(thats the red arrows:D), unhook the wires for the green arrow things and set the trim to the side, and poof there are the screws for the radio

Either I'm really good or all chevy trucks are too much alike

I was hoping that it would be similar to the other Chevy trucks - just wanted to make sure as I have limited time tomorrow to work on it.

Thanks guys - I appreciate it.
