Blazer, Explorer, or Grand Cherokee?

Here's a couple other contenders:

The last one just comes up to 2.5k, so might not be as strong an option.
I was looking at the Seas before, but looks like it drops off too soon. Different colors on the graphs mean what? The Peerless or the Scan are in the budget though. Trying to stay $100 or under per.

Yeah, without an FR curve on the Neo10 i'd be concerned as well with that dropoff at 6k if you're using it in place of a tweet
I wouldn't go Neo10, either Neo3 or Neo8. The Neo8 drops off about 12k, but the dude on DIYMA said he had to dial it back a good amount from like 3-7k, so that kinda makes up for it a bit.

Think you're going to miss on some of the shimmer if you can't reach 16K though. Seems to be the source of some of that airiness IIRC. Have heard excellent things about the Peerless, though, especially for the price.

As to the different colors on the FR curve, I'm guessing they're separate tests, but I'm not 100 percent sure. They should have had a legend on that, dangit.

Yeah, no legend on those. Just wondering which curve I should actually look at.

The Peerless look good, and I would really trust those to reach higher than the Daytons due to the paper cone, though the curve says it drops off at like 2.3k-ish. And yeah, I am planning on the Neo3's. That's why I'm trying to find mids like that.

After I blew up the graphs a bit, it looks like the Scanspeaks start dropping off drastically at the 3k point while the Peerless do so at the rated 2.5 if you go by the most conservative curve. Maybe the Scanspeaks are the way to go if you order from Madisound.

Yeah the Scans look decent. Wonder how they'd do under some power.

I do want to make those Anarchy's work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Yep, already planning on it. Looks like my Zap will have to go, and just picked up a tube amp too. Wanted to start a collection //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

No way, man. You didn't find that Zap, that Zap found you. I was talking about a kidney.

I know you already bought your vehicle before you point it out lol, I had a 2000 blazer and loved it until I found out up north rusted the hell outta the bottom and the frame was rusted. Have a 05 explorer and I LOVE the third row, but hate the rough ride. Nice choice though, looks nice.

So figured out something about the FR curves. If I'm right, the different colors represent performance on axis, 15 degrees off, 30 degrees off, and 45 degrees off axis. That could actually make perfect sense.

Hold the phone...screw the BGs....you said you're willing to fab whatever? Fab something for these:

Those are enormous lol. I don't want to run true ribbons. They're too fragile, both with power and physically.

i had a 01 blazer 4 door and never had a problem out of it my only prob was with the 3 10's it was falling apart..lol
Yeah, I'll be doing 2 15's on 5k. If there's any rust I didn't see, they'll find it.

Thanks man. There's not rust on this thing, so I'm hoping it will last a while.

That does make sense.

Figured as much, but that response makes me drool. If I ever get into designing HT cabs, I'll have to use one of those.
