Going to be getting a new vehicle in the next couple weeks, looking for one of these three. Years between 1998-2003. Which would you get and why?

I'm leaning towards the Blazer, two door or four door, and I'll eventually lower it and do some decent work to it.

There will be a decent sized system in, 5k for the subs amp, but I will more than likely not wall it.

I love my 01 explorer, 180k on it, hasn't given me any problems in the 3 years I've owned it. I had to replace a wheel bearing recently, but that's it.

blazer if not 4x4 jeep if 4x4 but not grand cherokee, explorers for some reason are harder to get loud, jeeps the alts are real expensive .if you get the blazer ,get one with the v6 vortec

When we're talking about expensive on the cherokee alts, exactly how expensive? It's one I'm considering further down the road.

Cherokee. not grand cherokee. But just Cherokee 4x4. Last for ever. Great motors. And the 4 wheel drive is by far the best out of the group. Im just preferencial toward the jeeps since i like them best.
Yeah the regular cherokee's seem to be better, but not as many out there, probably due to that. I'm moving there, and will need to get a vehicle ASAP, so I'll only be looking about a week before I buy. Have only seen like one on CL in the last few weeks.

4Runner...
They are an option too, but behind these three. Availability is one of the reasons.

Honestly 4x4 doesn't matter to me, I'm gonna be in Texas, and not off-roading at all. Would almost rather not have it for gas mileage reasons. I have a DC alt now that DC said they could recase to anything for $125, so that's not a huge issue. The Blazer is first in my mind right now. Look better and have more aftermarket parts for them.

Are you planning to do anything cosmetically? If so, the Blazer should be really easy to alter.

For sure. Hoping to dump some money into this and make it a really nice SUV. That's my main reason for the Blazer. They look good a bit lowered and with a few pieces of hardware.

blazer all the way 4.6 vortec with the 5 speed 192 hp stock and will last forever . my s10 had 347000 miles before i totaled it
Damn, that's quite a bit! Though I want an auto. Have a standard now and it's a pain in the ass in traffic. I'll be living in central San Antonio, don't want to deal with that on a daily basis. If I was going to be a bit more rural, for sure a manual though.
