My brother had one, they are fine, not anythign special but not bad at all either, it lasted him about 3 years then he replaced it but it still worked. There is probably better for the money though. maybe look into a Pioneer DEH- P3500, its around the same price and i have been happy with mine.

I owned a Blau and I had no problems with it. The only thing I didn't like was the sub out was 1 mono plug. Don't know if they still do that.

I havent used nor heard them but I would try pioneer premiere, or Alpine.

I've toyed around with the San Francisco and Los Angeles models (CD72, MP72). I expected them to be decent units, considering the prices, and they were. Nothing too fancy - pretty easy to use. I believe on some models they have a mail in rebate now in effect.

The Casablanca looks fairly nice ... doesn't play WMA's or have CD text but thats not too big of a deal if you're worried more about the performance aspect. Aesthetically pleasing to some. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have a blaupunkt hamburg that i have been using for a lil over 2 years with no problems and i love it.

I have a Blaupunkt San Francisco HU. I paid about $300 dollars for it about a year and a half ago.

It has a lot of feature, but i have been having problems with it.

If i try to adjust the volume down a lot of times it will blast the volume up and i have to fight with the knob to go down; i'll be trying to make volume go down and it will start fluxuating. The cd's skip easily, the radio stations sometimes jump to another station when listening for no apparant reason or just goes to mute, sometimes it switches from cd mode to radio, sometimes one cd track will just skip to the next song, sometimes it says the id card is invalid and i have to take out and re-insert.

Seems to be a pain in the a**.

Lot of features yes, but reliable, no.
