That law was created for support of the war effort. It is still paid because no one pushes the fact that our country is no longer torn by war. The revision has no legitimate reasoning behind it. The people approved the original, not the manipulated version that is supposedly "Law". I agree, you will end up paying, just not by a true "Law" that was put into place by the people. There was never a popular consensus obtained, just got re-written, kept in place and the gov never checked up. There's a lot of holes, questions and accountability that has never been answered.

You vote for Congress, that is your "consent". Congress gives it's agencies broad rule making power within their scope. That's how our system has always worked, still does. Pay your taxes or vote for smaller gov't that will cost less, but will still require SOME taxation. The only way to avoid all taxation is to not have any gov't. The Constitution gives Congress the power to lay taxes, they did. Deal with it. I have heard all the tax protest BS, and when I looked it up myself I learned they are full of crap and as dumb as a bag of hammers.

The law was made the way correctly, just as it should be, just like all laws. If you don't like it vote to change it. If you lose, too bad, it's still the law.
