Bigger single aeroport VS smaller dual aeroports?

Im building a new box design for 2 sa12s on 2k currently have 2 4inch aeroports 12inch in lengh. was wondering whats the difference if i ran one 8inch aeroport vs having 2 smaller? might have the port firing the same way as the subs or off to the side still undecided.

2 4 inch ports arent the same area as an 8 inch port.. it wont matter if the area is the same. you're asking about different port area though

You could replace the dual 4 with a single 6 and be the same (roughly)

The benefit to multiple smaller is you can plug one to drop tuning

Yes, you can but as you go bigger in diameter, the length needs to be much larger for the same tuning. Takes up more space in general. I would recommend going with the 6" if space allows you as that'll be more ideal. If not, you might have to stick with dual 4".

6 will have a bit more port area than two 4" with your same box you will have a harder time tuning lower. 8" is out of the question unless you want a burp box
