it's adding extra wiring to these three places

Alternator Positive to Battery Positive

Battery Negative to Chassis

Engine block to Chassis

For best results, use the biggest wire your budget can afford. 1/0awg is the best idea.

Most people use a fuse on the positive leg (for 1/0 use 200-300A). It's not required, just a good idea. Clean all of the surfaces with sandpaper for the best connection possible.
