Big round port question

I am building a box and have always liked the looks of bigger round ports. If I can find some I was woundering what you guys thought about 2 12" round ports for ruffly 20 cu ft (before displacement). I am biulding a box for 2 DP 21's and IA recomends 120 cu. in. of port and a 12" round port would be 113 cu. inches.

No, I have never used round ports and was wouldering if the ports being that big around would cause any problems and being just a little under on cu. in. in the end. It would only be 226 cu in. but I remember reading that round ports are a little more efficent that slot ports so you can get away with running a little less port area.

now I am not no stereo pro so I am probobly wrong but I thought a round port was more efficiant because the air actually passes over less surface that a slot port. and a slot port is a big plus on a support part of the box.
