ext cab box design. Help!!!

ok, 2004 dodge dakota ext. cab. lookin to do 3 12" RE audio SR series. i have asked everywhere but here and never got any solid suggestions. i would need 4.5 cubes ported to 35-40hz, would a ported downfiring box be best or maybe a ported rear firing box? i am new to trucks and have no idea whats best for 12's in an extended cab. thanks guys!

up two 12'' subs on the back seat and fire them up. if you dont want to get to involved that is. i had the same truck

ok thanks, i wasnt really wanting to fire them up for security reasons, kinda like the clean look of no subs showin, i just didnt know what would sound the best cause i know the box can make or break the whole system, wanted to make sure it sounds good and loud.

i might, def takin out my backseat to do all this so i can anchor it all down properly. i always heard firing toward you would be louder to the ear but lower on the mic? that true?

buckets in front, fold up bench in back.

You could fold up the bench in the back, and have the box be tall enough but below the window line, then have the subs facing forward toward the backs of the seats with the port pointing upward.

yea i was gonna take out the bottom portion of the seat. would 3 12's sound good sub and port toward the front tuned to 38hz?

What about facing the subs and port up.

back in the day when i had my type argh in my 95 dakota i built the box to have the sub fire forward, when i turned the box with the sub firing up it was louder to my ear...
