BIG problem

Hey guys,

Ok heres my problem. I used to have 2 15s(kicker comp vr 15" dual 4 ohm) in my truck and they were wired at 1 ohm to my sony xplod 1000 watt amp(i know it sucks, ill be getting a new one soon). So now I just got 2 12s and people are telling me not to wire it at 1 ohm, but to wire at 4 ohm. But I dont see why i cant just wire them the exact same way as the 15s, at 1 ohm. They are alpine type R swr-1242D 12" subs. The wiring diagram in the instructions are to wire at 4 ohm.

Please help me fast,

yes, you can wire those subs down to 1ohm.

power handling: 200-500 watts RMS

Run them @ 1 ohm, and you should be fine.

That's provided that your filters and gains are right
