the ID's will take a beating. so will the rsd's though. i had them on the same amp that the ID's are on right now. they handled it fine as well.ok, I might try the id oem's. Im pulling my hair out here trying to find some that can take a beating
How do the id's sound compared to the rsd's. My rsd's sound nice and I used to have some infinity kappa mids which I personally thought sounded warmer than the rsd'd but had not mid bass at all. I to usally never go above 46 on my headunit, usally 40 tops. The ids look a bit beefier than the rsd's tho ?the ID's will take a beating. so will the rsd's though. i had them on the same amp that the ID's are on right now. they handled it fine as well.
i'd actually say i pushed the rsd's harder because the ID's are more sensitive, so i have the volume turned down a little lower to get the same volume out of them. i used to use 48-50 on my HU quite a bit, now i never go over 45 and i never touched my gains.
the ID's have slightly more mid-bass once broken in, but sound a lot tighter and punchier. what i was really after was more mid-range clarity, and the ID's do it for me. i always thought the rsd mids lacked clarity up top, thats the reason i upgraded. How do the id's sound compared to the rsd's. Well, X amp makes X power.....and when it comes down to it, it doesn't. RMS power is not average power. His amp doesn't put out 284 watts all the time. It might be for a fraction of a second.jbut i've been told many times that X speaker takes X power.. and when it comes down to it, it doesnt..
how do they sound and where can i source them ?if you want an awesome set of 6.5 midbass the Earthquake shallow mount 6.5 will give it to you...plus they take a lot of power...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
