Big difference between 600w and 740w RMS??

I'm looking to get either a Profile AP1200(600x1@4ohms) or one of the Power Acoustik 800Wx1@4ohms amps. I like the Profile name more, and the Profile comes with a bass knob, which I really like. I did some baloney calculations and I'm seeing that the dB difference in the two amps is less than 1dB, although as far as the actual forces involved, assuming the ratings are tight, the PA would hit 23% harder, which I imagine is a big, noticeable difference. Basically, with ~$20 between the two, which one should I go with?

They are both good amps, but I'll choose the PA.

Yeah. . . I had a profile CA600M (420RMS at 2ohm) and while it got the job done, the RE 35.1d at 1100RMS did the job much better with my RE SE 15.
