Big brown boxes

Today the postman brought me 2 big brown boxes.... but what could be inside????

The boxes don't sit evenly on the ground (not a good sign)

If you can see it, the sub is tilted on maybe a 10-20 degree angle.

The type-r pwned the packaging (lol)

I will admit, I thought these subs were ****ed, before I took them out.

Gotta love big honkin' type-rs!

All they need is a little wipe down and they should be good to go!

The basket is intact

Got these in a trade, I am normally not partial to trading, but I figured I would use them ONE day so... why not have them???

I tested the cone for vc rubbing and/or stiffness, and it seems fine. The motor is fine and the basket survived with no cracks at all. All in all, lets hope the seller packages better next time.... i'll point him in the direction of this thread. Lucky guy, because the first sub I shipped with less-than-ample packaging got ****in ***** by Fedex.

Let's hope they work when I get around to testing them

I actually got a free towel and about 6 single subject notebooks too hahaha

man you got lucky with those.. yea the guy who packaged them needs some pointers on packaging heavy items.. because I would be pist if my shit came all beat up (one time it happened, but i got my money back) but still..

I put them to good use today to package up his amp

I had no box to put it in, so 3 layers of bubble wrap, + a layer of padded envelopes and a layer of cut-in-half pool noodles all the way around, and then wrapped in paper

pretty ghetto but it gets the job done, i dropped it for a quick test and it bounced, so I know its packaged good.
