i ran dc amps and the vfl amps ,my vfl took more of a pounding .the crossfire amps tend to get hot btw

Is that a problem??? Most amps get hot. As long as they don't thermal protect who cares....

If you are trying to run that much power, why not just upgrade your system to a 16v? Seems like it would cost about the same and yield the same results. You could beat the **** out of the system with a lower risk of blowing **** up

It would cost more and be more complicated. I already have the electrical for 12v.
