Alpine KTP-445U vs Clarion XC1410?

Hey guys, I'm debating between which one of these I should grab for a little power boost:

Clarion XC1410 vs Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack

Someone's suggested the Clarion over the Alpine already, but I'm having a hard time with that because the Alpine would fit perfectly with my shiny new HD149BT!

The quick installation is a definite plus for the Alpine. However, the "U" model is not the plug-n-play model. KTP-445A is the one you should look at. Alpine's 445A will be at 1% THD at RMS power, vs 0.1% THD at RMS power on the Clarion. It's possible that would be an audible difference. The Clarion makes a lot more power with 2 ohm speakers. If you'll be using 4 ohm speakers you won't hear any difference from +5W.

Oh yes you're right, my mistake. I meant to use the U model instead. Hmmm thanks for expounding!

It says "8 gauge power and ground wiring is required for installation", know where to get some cheap 8/10 gauge power/ground wire?
