how long of zero gauge wiring do you think is needed to do the big 3 upgrade in my 08 silverado ext?

go take a tape measure to everything and get a rough estimate....zero gauge isn't too expensive to get anal about.

12' is pretty solid, 15' if you wanna be safe.

I did my explorer, all of my grounds were like 3ft long, and my alt was a little farther away, so i ended up using like 13'

**** you saturn for coming stock with the battery in the back. Yes it's easier to install systems, but a PITA to do the big 3.

ground wires are all in the 3 foot or less range. you want minimal ground length anyway. frame grounding can be done easily under the battery tray.

alt to batt positive is where you can get some length - and take care to route it well and out of the way of moving parts. i secured mine to the fan shroud with other factory wires. everything is in loom so it's difficult to tell factory apart from mine.

i also color code my wires, always, so buying wire by the foot is easier if you don't want the expense of two rolls. you can use smaller speaker wire to plan your routing so you get an accurate measure if buying by the foot. course, the bend radius of 1/0 is different than 16 awg. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
