Ok. I was helping wire a buddy's truck when I saw that the battery to ground, engine to chassis were all connected to the same place stockwise. Basically, I see doing the alt+ to batt+, but how do I go about the batt- and engine to chassis when they've been run to the same place? The Engine ground is run to the Battery negative, then grounded to the chassis.

One Idea I have is to just run a second ground from the engine block, but what will this do to the rest of the wiring that I see at the battery negative post? Apparently there are 4 wires being grounded from the same spot on the battery neg.

Electricity will take the easiest route, so if you upgrade the wiring size it will do no harm to the wires already there. Also I believe a lot of cars have the same engine block/ battery (-) ground. You could go back through the battery or not, I would suggest not, just for shorter distances. Hope this answers your question?

Just follow the same route as the stock wires. Just add to them. You don't have to over think it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
