Big 3 - No terminal on alternator?

Why does everyone assume that the factory POS+ wire from the alt is not good enough? If you have a stock alt, don't you think that Ford used a wire that was capable of handling the max output of your stock alt? The only time you need to upgrade the stock POS+ charge wire is if you upgrade your alt to something bigger than the factory alt. If your alt output exceedes the rated output, the fuse in the under hood block will pop before the wire will burn fyi.
No, because stock is 65amp and the stock 10-12ga (long as hell too) wire is not enough. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

In a lot of cases auto mfr's cheaped out on wiring. Headlights are a perfect example. Take your DMM and measure the voltage at the base of the bulb with your headlights on. I bet the voltage drop over that 16(ish) ga wire will surprise you!

exacly right there, i tell people go get a couple relays and some 12awg and redo your wiring so you get 14v at your headlights, they dont listen and spend $60 on bulbs and their light still sucks lol
