Big 3 Help

Hello everyone, I got a 2004 Bonneville around 2 months ago and have now decided to start with a system. I was scoping everything out for the big 3 and found that the battery is located under the bask seat. The thing I am worried about is the alternator to battery wire. Do I just have to fuse both ends of the wire?

No you only need one fuse. It's definately recommended to have one though to prevent something catching on fire, I think the measurement for an in-line fuse is 18 inches or less from the battery. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do u have little fuses on the side of your amp. If so add them up and that's the fuse to use. If its not fused find out amp draw. U can do this by research or doing ohms law.

The current capactiy has two factors the length of the wire and the gauge, so for 0 AWG I would use 200A - 225A Fuse. I feel your pain my battery is in the trunk of my car it's going to be a pain in the arse to run a wire that long from alternator to the battery.
